At our last monthly meeting we had a visit from Flamenco Rosa, the first Dragon Boat BCS -Brest Cancer Survivors- team in Spain. In a moving speech, the group of lady paddlers told the story of the team, created by Jan Collins in 2016. They explained the physical and mental benefits of doing this sport, and told us about their new projects for the future, a team of ACS, Any Cancer Survivors, and a Nordic Walking group.
Flamenco Rosa paddlers train every Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8.00am in the Mar Menor. They invited us to a training session on Sunday 27th October at 10.00am, at Club Náutico in Lo Pagan. If you want to try the experience, please send me an email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Flamenco Rosa BCS belongs to A.D. Pinatar Dragon Boat. This club has groups of paddlers of different ages and conditions, so it is open to everyone who wants to do this sport.
They also invited everybody to the IV Intercontinental Dragon boat Festival SPAIN – Jan Collins Memorial, which will take place in Torrevieja, at the Marina Internacional next 19th and 20th October.
