26 Adapt members and friends took part in a very enjoyable and
leisurely trip on Tuesday around the Murcia interior.
After a very welcome breakfast stop the coach transported us to the
monastery of Santuario de Eulalia, near Totana, to admire the frescos
and carvings which have to be seen to be properly appreciated.
Most of us walked up to the viewing point and the beautiful view.
We then made for Totana for independent time in the town and lunch.
After lunch, we made our way to the Museo de la Huerta in Alcantarilla showcasing traditional ways of agricultural life including household items, apothecary utensils, costumes and musical instruments and a great deal more. The outside area showcased past agricultural methods including innovative water systems including the spectacular water wheel.
The weather was just amazing and helped contribute to what overall was
an excellent day. Our thanks to Celia for organising everything.
Where to next time?”
