Official Opening of the Skittles Club The alley was already laid out in the courtyard at 19.00 hrs when over fifty Adapt members turned up at the Casino. Just in time to get a drink from the open air bar and settle down to watch. The scoreboard was being manned most efficiently by Gwen Thomas and Ken Simcox and games had been organised so that everyone had a go.Even when the daylight started to fade play continued helped by strong floodlights on the Casino's roof. Most of the bowlers were English but several Spanish residents stopped and peered through the perimeter wall, intrigued by what was happening inside. The good news is that The Casino has kindly agreed to Adapt's skittles group having the use of its grounds every Tuesday evening at 19.00 hrs. |
