Off to a flying start!

Our monthly meetings started up again today February 1st with excellent attendance and a whole range of interesting speakers and exciting announcements.

For those unable to attend, here are some of things you might want to put in your diary.

Strollers group next walk 15th February starting at 10.30 a.m. from Restaurante Montepiedra, Campoamor. Walk to Cabo Roig tower and back for restaurant lunch.

Orihuela Medieval Market continues on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd February. There is free transport from Playa Flamenca town hall, leaving 10 a.m. and 4.15 p.m., returning 3 p.m. and 10 p.m.

There will be a clean up campaign on the beach of El Carmoli on Sunday 2nd February, see news item on this site for more details.

We will be participating in San Pedro carnival parade on Sunday 23rd February, starting from the town hall and going down the main street to Lo Pagán. All support in the form of cheering and clapping welcome!

There will be two “Pop-up” meetings run by the British Consulate for help and advice about Brexit. These will be in La Manga Club on 11th February 9.30 to 14.30 and DFS San Javier on 12th February 10.30 to 14.30. On Saturday 29th February at 8 p.m. Raquel Peña will be staging a Flamenco show at El Albergue, El Mojón. Entrance is free, you pay for what you order.
