Support in Spain – Murcia launch

Two of our committee members, Jane and Celia, were “virtually” present for the launch of this excellent initiative in the Murcia region. Support is Spain has arisen from the collaboration between the British Consulate in Spain and the University of Birmingham to provide a source of information focused exclusively on the welfare of British people in Spain.

The site is completely bilingual and consists of two main parts – Frequency Asked Questions and a support directory which lists all the welfare help available at both local and national levels, including local charities and associations as well as institutions and agencies at all levels.

While the best source of general information for Brits in Spain continues to be the government site: www.gov.uk Support in Spain is unique in focusing specifically on welfare and combining both British and Spanish sources of support.

We recommend that you explore this site www.supportinspain.info and share it with anyone who may have needs or queries about welfare of any kind.
