Papa Noel, along with a delegation of ADAPT members, made a surprise visit to the Casa Cuna children’s home on 16th December with a sleigh-load of nappies and sweets for the children, very generously donated by ADAPT members at the recent AGM. Mike Pudney, outgoing President of the Association, also presented a cheque for 500 euros to the home raised by members.
The home currently has 50 children, many of them babies, but all the older children enjoyed Papa Noel’s handing out of sweets. The children and their visitors then sang Christmas songs in Spanish and Papa Noel’s football skills were much admired!
Visiting members were very impressed by the work of the home and hope to visit again in the summer to see how the ADAPT donation has been used … and of course to meet with the children again!
